We are still alive

The last weeks it is pretty silent with input from my side. my excuse for this especially after seeing the statistics. This is asking for some action from my side. Not that there wasn't action or something just the fact was I did have a writers block ;. last weeks not much happened till last week. last week was full of excitement. take for example last thursday, i was involved in a accident at the high way. the photo's and stories will follow. for now i just want to tell you, i survived and didn;t got mayor injuries. Ok for today i will show where out visitors are coming from.

as u can see at the map, the blog is like oil.

Adventure in Pirmasens

Today it was finally the day we decided to test the tent, because the planning we will sleep in the tent during the weekend if all the beds are occupied inside the house. I don;t feel for sleeping on a sofa, so adventure in the garden. During our testing night is was raining like Heaven but this didn;t took us out of the tent. also the fact that nani didn;t get fresh air was not a reason to leave the tent. but finally at 3, there arrived the reason for leaving the tent. a huge tunderstorm located above the garden gave nani the reason to wake me up. it took her 30 minutes to convince to leave the tent but at the end so got me that far. to run through the garden back to the front door. during this short distance we didn;t wear anything dry anymore and the dry spots became wet because the door was not opening directly. after closing the door it was over with the adventure. i slept lovely in a bed (for one person) i didn;t gave nani any space but i just heard this in the morning this was also the mean reason why she slept on the sofa or at least tried.

Palace Het Loo is CLOSED at Monday

Monday morning we leaving Aalsmeer and heading to Germany again, because we have whole the day we decide to make a stop at a Royal Palace Het Loo. The reason they have a nice garden and this is lovely to walk around and shoot some cute photo's. so till Apeldoorn everything went as planned but then we went of the highway. later we found out we went one too early off but what does it care, we just need to follow the signs. after a half hour drive we arrived finally and strangely we could enter the parking place without paying a cent. the parking place was also really empty, but we saw at least some moving bodies. so we locked the car (never trust the royal family, how much do they use yearly around 18 mlj.) and walked slowly to the entrance... and guesss ...yes it was closed. such a pitty but there was the alternative the royal parks. Nani with her good behaviour wanted to pay for entering and lucky we did because the royal forest guard was picking up the money directly. probably Willem needed to buy a new royal playconsole for his daughters. the guy gave us one advice follow the black route this is really beautifull he forget to tell us this took ages. so half the way we decided to change to the blue route. the only thing we didn;t know was that this blue route did have to variants next to eachother. so at the end we still walked the distance of the black route.

The STAR 19 may

President Thabo Mbeki and ANC president Jacob Zuma have both condemned xenophobic violence that has taken root in the Joburg city centre and areas around Gauteng.

Also yesterday, Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) called the situation a humanitarian crisis and said there was a need for the government to accord the foreigners "some kind of status".

And the government has called on "intelligence services" to uncover who or what could be behind the attacks - but said it would not be using the army to quell the violence any time soon.

"We do believe there is some form of orchestration to these attacks; they are not just criminal," Government Communication and Information System CEO Themba Maseko said.

He did not want to speculate on who might be responsible for the attacks, which he described as "crazy and inexplicable", but said it appeared that "somebody wants to take advantage of the declining mood in the country" to destabilise South Africa.

He admitted that police had been caught on the back foot, but said this was because of a "lack of intelligence", not because they were failing to contain the xenophobic violence.

"At this stage there has been no decision to deploy the defence force."

Mbeki yesterday announced that a panel had been set up to look into the attacks.

Speaking at San Lameer after a meeting of the International Investment Council, Mbeki said it was important for the police to act firmly.

"We hope the panel and the police will work together and help us answer who is behind this."

People could not be allowed to go around beating up other people, Mbeki said.

SA Human Rights Commission chairperson Jody Kollapen said the police had been doing a "great job", but he was concerned that criminals might take advantage of the fact that the authorities were "overstretched".

Democratic Alliance provincial leader Jack Bloom visited the Cleveland police station, to which he said about 1 000 foreigners had fled.

Medecins Sans Frontieres spokesperson Dr Eric Goemaere said he had been to "many refugee camps and situations, and this definitely is along those lines".
